Lexington, Kentucky, the heart of the Bluegrass will host a world class culinary extravaganza staged at the historic Farmhouse during the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games September 25th through October 10th, 2010. Making a historical mark in several ways, this is the first time the World Equestrian Games have been held outside of Europe on United States soil and this unique Celebrity Chef Culinary Series rivals any event of its nature to be held in 2010 and is guaranteed to please the palates of the sophisticated gourmet as well as intrigue the discerning diner!

The James Beard Foundation, the most celebrated culinary organization in this nation, renowned for its dedication to the educational initiatives, development and recognition of the culinary arts, annually awards upcoming new chefs with what is deemed the “Oscars” of the industry. Any honoree of the James Beard Foundation Award is proud to boast the prestige of this culinary recognition. Combined with the efforts of the World Equestrian Games and the Kentucky Horse Park Foundation, this proves to be an elite experience that permits only an intimate gathering of 75 guests each night to enjoy the chef’s epicurean delights in the center of the Kentucky Horse Parks Historic Farmhouse, setting a stage similar in experience to that of dining in the James
Beard House in New York City.

Sixteen evenings have been choreographed with nationally and internationally recognized chefs that will be paired with Kentucky’s finest culinary talent. They will showcase a fusion of foods and experiences of not just international flare but local and regional heritage as well. From local farms, brewers, distillers, growers and cheese-makers to name a few, Kentucky’s Proud Program supports sustainability within their beautiful state and represents an array of products distributed locally, throughout the United States and across the globe. Partnering with the Kentucky Proud Program* offers our Celebrity Chefs an array of fresh local ingredients in their purest form that they will incorporate into their creative culinary designs.

This event, generating a modest fundraising contribution, assists three incredible Foundations with their pursuits in education, building and funding their various programs and causes in their respective fields. The World Games 2010 Foundation, Inc.,  The The James Beard Foundation and the Kentucky Horse Park Foundation.
