The new Indoor Arena construction is complete and opened in July 2009. Construction of the permanent 7,500 seat lighted Outdoor Stadium is complete and opened in April 2009. Road upgrades are currently underway at the Kentucky Horse Park and will be finished prior to the 2010 Games.
In addition to the construction of the new Outdoor Stadium, the World Games 2010 Foundation will add 22,500 temporary seats to the stadium for the duration of the 2010 Games, giving the Outdoor Stadium a total of 30,000 seats. The Foundation will also construct a temporary Driving Stadium with approximately 6,000 seats as well as adding temporary seating for other events as needed. Temporary structures to be constructed throughout the Park during the Games include, but are not limited to: Main Hospitality structure and chalets, Media Center, Trade Show, Kentucky Experience and more. Check back in 2010 to see more as we begin our temporary build-out leading up to the Games!
