Volunteer
Once every four years, the equestrian world comes together to crown champions and celebrate the beauty and pageantry of equestrian sports. That event is the World Equestrian Games, and in 2010 it is coming to the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky, USA!
Featuring the most talented equestrian athletes in the world, this event will feature new world champions in eight equestrian disciplines: Dressage, Driving, Endurance, Eventing, Jumping, Para Dressage, Reining, and Vaulting. This will be the first time in history that the World Equestrian Games will be held in the United States.
At the heart of this world-class competition are more than 10,000 official volunteers. These dedicated individuals will give their time, energy and enthusiasm to make the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games an outstanding event for Kentucky and for the United States of America.
There are two categories of volunteers. Competition Volunteers work directly with a specific competition discipline and are required to be experienced in that discipline. General Volunteers, on the other hand, need not have any equine experience at all. These volunteers will use their energy and skills to support the Games by working in many different areas throughout the venue.
Every member of our Volunteer Team, sponsored by Ariat, will play an integral role. They will create an environment in which the athletes can give their best performances, assist in the smooth operation of the venues and graciously welcome our guests from around the world.
Thank you so much for your interest in the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games. We have had a tremendous response to our call to volunteer for this once-in-a-lifetime experience. As of now, all of our positions have been filled, so we cannot guarantee you a volunteer position with the Games. However, you may still register your account with us and we will be happy to put you on a waiting list. Thanks again for your support of this great event!
